The top of the dresser was warped, and that's why the lady I got it from said she was about to throw it in the trash! AH! My hand husband was able to clamp the top down and re-nail it back down. There is a little crack at the top from doing this, bu nothing that you can notice or that hurts it!
TADA! I painted it RED! and I mod podged sheet music to the drawers.
I am super happy with it, and am now trying to decide where to put it! It is a LOUD piece. I am so excited my vision actually came through!
Oh my gosh Michelle, this turned out INCREDIBLE. I am new to your blog, so sweet it is, and your fmaily is adorable :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE red, and used to use it alot in my decor, now I only remember the good old days, and your dressed makes me want to go paint something red again. Oh and the sheet music, AWESOME..... I've been seeing tons of projects with this and everytime, I'm blown away. It looks so cool. We love music around here, and this would be so fun.

ReplyDeleteThis is the cutest thing ever!! So can you give me some directions on modge podge? I just love this and my hubby and I are in the process of adopting a 16 year old girl and as a "gift" we are re-doing a room for her. Im on a budget and I think I could totally do this--she loves bright colors and rainbows and I was wondering how I was going to afford a new dresser for her. Im totally doing this!! What kind of paint did you use? Did you just use a high gloss?? Thanks so much for posting--what a great idea! My daughter is going to LOVE whatever I come up. Thakns for the inspiration
