Button Up Shirt into Pillow Cover

I was at a thrift store shopping around trying to get ideas, and I found this cute button up shirt. I decided I was going to cover one of my old junky pillows with this cute shirt! Here is how I did it and how it turned out.

First I started with my shirt

I placed the pillow I was going to cover on top of the shirt and cut around the pillow.

Here is my pillow shape ut out from the shirt

Next place right sides together and sew on 3 sides leaving one side open so you can stuff the pillow in. Once you put the pillow in, pin the top folding down the edges and hem the pillow shut.

Here is my finished pillow! I love the buttons going down the front.
