Ruffle/Rosette T-shirt refashion

I am addicted to making plain tees beautiful! My latest creation I used a new t-shirt couponed at kohl's, and an old t-shirt that was in my closet! I cut up the old t-shirt and made two long ruffles by using the largest stitch on my sewing machine, sewing down each side, and then pulling the string to make it ruffle. Here is what I came up with:
I probably would have liked the ruffles not so far on the side... but, I am kind of a do it, and then look at it later kind of person. So, my suggestion to you is pin the ruffles on first, try it on, and see where it hits you.

I thought about no rosette, but I really liked the rosette after looking at the two.
